UTM Parameters Builder

Add UTM tracking parameters to your URLs and validate them in one step. This builder checks that utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign are present and correctly formatted — lowercase, no spaces, no special characters — and flags non-standard medium values that cause GA4 attribution problems.

Build campaign URLs with correct UTM parameters, then validate them below before launch.

Understanding UTM Parameters

UTM parameters are five query-string tags you append to a URL so analytics platforms like GA4 can track where traffic comes from. The three required parameters are utm_source (who sent the traffic), utm_medium (the marketing channel), and utm_campaign (the campaign name). Two optional parameters — utm_content and utm_term — support A/B testing and paid keyword tracking.

Common mistakes include using uppercase letters, spaces, or non-standard medium values like "advertisement" instead of "cpc." This parameters builder validates all five UTM values against GA4 conventions and provides instant fix suggestions.
